Date: Circa 1851.
Materials and Techniques: Steel line engraving on "enamel card." Another name is "porcelain card."
Condition: Good. No wear, no abrasion. Stored in the family album since May 1851 according to the date in the u.r. corner of album's page. Part of the paint from the surface of the engraving was offsetting through the tissue guard to the previous page and soaked into it. There are visible platemarks that haven't ever been noted on other of Wood's enamel cards. A detailed condition report is available on demand.
