Maria Anna Angelika Kauffman RA (1741 - 1807). A Swiss painter, the first female member of the Royal Academy of Arts, London.
Luigi Schiavonetti (1765 - 1810). An Italian engraver, since 1790 lived and worked in London. He also engraved the first British portrait of Napoleon.
Title: Shakespeare. Two gentlemen of Verona. Act V. Sc. III. In the forest, the three outlaws have captured Silvia and plan to take her to their leader.
Signed, numbered, and titled in the plate.
Materials and Techniques: Etching and engraving, hand-colored. Printed on thick cream-colored paper.
