Thomas Stothard (1755 - 1834) RA was an English painter, illustrator, and engraver.
Augustus Fox (1800-1849 after) was an engraver, specialized in book-illustrations.
Signed, titled, dated, and proofed by the editor in the plate. Painted by Ts. Stothard. Engraved by Augs. Fox. King Lear. Act 5. Sc.4. London. Pubd. by Hurst, Robinson & Co. 6 Pall Mall, & R. Jennings, 2 Poultry. 1826.
Materials and Techniques: Engraving and etching on chine collé laid on wove paper. 
Dimensions: Image 9 6/8" x 6 6/8''. Sheet 17 1/2" x 11 7/8". 
Condition: Small losses at the corners of the wove paper. Aged edges.
Publication: Initially, probably, as an engraving from the Illustrations to Shakespeare from designers by Stothard, Westall, and Fuselli...

The unfinished series, the plates were incorporated in the Shakespeare Portfolio.
"This Portfolio was formed out of several series of engravings executed for, or collected by the late Joshua Walmesley, Esq., who intended to publish an edition of Shakespeare extensively illustrated, but did not live to carry out his enterprise".
