Note: Although the signature appears to be Hans Hanke, it is unlikely to be the Hans Hanke born in 1923, known from auction records. This is supported by the existence of a similar watercolor with the same signature dated 1932 in the "Storage Warrior" collection (Thank you, Jessica Oman), and by the fact that Hans Hanke (b. 1923) typically painted German and Austrian landscapes.
