ArtistSydney Parkinson (1745?-1771), after. Sydney Parkinson was a Scottish botanical illustrator and natural history artist. He was the first European artist to visit Australia, New Zealand and Tahiti. Parkinson was employed by Joseph Banks to travel with him on James Cook's first voyage to the Pacific in 1768, in HMS Endeavour.
Engraver:  Edward Rooker (c. 1712 – 1774) was an English engraver, draughtsman and actor. Rooker was an original member of the Incorporated Society of Artists.

Condition: Water stains, folds as issued. Unexamined outside of the mat. The signs of aging are appropriate for the time. A detailed condition report is available on demand.
