Title: Dance of Fauns and a Maenad.
Dated and Signed in plate: 1518, AV.
Dimensions: 7" x 10".
Date: 1518.
Materials and Techniques: engraving on laid paper.
Provenance:  The Estate of George "Yorgo" Demetrakopoulos; professor, assistant director of the Medieval Institute, and assistant to the dean at Western Michigan University, Kalamazoo, Michigan, from 1965-2000.
Condition:  Trimmed to the borderline. Folds. Creases. abrasions. Wear. Laid down. The left part of the diptych, possibly after Raphael. The left edge of the engraving is covered recto in order, apparently, to hide a fragment of a dress that continues from the missing left sheet of the diptych. The signs of aging are appropriate for the time. A detailed condition report is available on demand.
