Provenance: The Estate of George “Yorgo” Demetrakopoulos; professor, assistant director of the Medieval Institute, and assistant to the dean at Western Michigan University, Kalamazoo, Michigan, from 1965–2000.
Condition: The signs of aging are appropriate for the time. The verso bears residue from an old adhesive mount; minor surface soiling to the recto is also noted. A detailed condition report is available on demand.
Museums, Libraries and Auctions: A work by Albrecht depicting scenes from Jewish life was offered at the Litfond auction in Moscow. Auction No. 369, Lot 55. The signature on that work is identical in letterform to the Cyrillic signature verso of the present sheet.
