Artist:  Alphonse Legros (1837-1911). Etcher, lithographer and painter of landscape, genre, and historical subjects and medallist. In 1876 became a Slade Professor at University College London, and a founder member of the Royal Society of Painter Etcher and Engravers.

Provenance:  The Estate of George "Yorgo" Demetrakopoulos; professor, assistant director of the Medieval Institute, and assistant to the dean at Western Michigan University, Kalamazoo, Michigan, from 1965-2000.
Condition:  Torn from a book. The signs of aging are appropriate for the time. A detailed condition report is available on demand.
