Cartographer: Victor Levasseur (1800 - 1854), a French engineer and cartographer. His richly illustrated "Atlas Nationale Illustre" and "Atlas Universel Illustre" are among the best and most popular atlases of 19 century.
Engraver: Frédéric-Guillaume Laguillermie (1805-1870). Well known because of his collaboration with cartographer Victor Levasseur. 
IllustratorRaymond Bonheur (Oscar-Raymond Bonheur), (1796–1849) was a French artist. 
Publisher: Amable Combette, 1843 - 1858, until its bankruptcy. 
Signed, titled, and proofed by the editor, the engraver, and the artist in the plate above and beneath borders. Blind stamp AC on the lower margin.
Materials and Techniques:  Steel engraving. Hand-colored in outline.

Condition: Torn from the book along the left margin. The edge chipping. The upper right corner is lost. Folds, tears, and stains.
