Artist: Johan Balzer (Czech, 1736-1799), engraver and publisher. Studied with J.J.Rentze in Kuks, 1750-58 and in various German academies. Member of the Vienna Academy.
Title: Karl Joseph Graf Hadik von Futak (1756 - 1800) was an Austrian cavalry soldier and commander of Hungarian origin during the War of the Bavarian Succession, Austro-Turkish War (1787–1791), and French Revolutionary Wars. He was mortally wounded at Marengo, where he commanded the center column.

Condition: Laid down. Broken corners. Trimmed to plate mark. The signs of aging (wear and toning) are appropriate for the time. A detailed condition report is available on demand.
