Artist: Claude Lorrain (c. 1600 - 1682) was a famous French painter, who lived and worked in Italy.
EngraverRichard Earlom (1743 – 1822) an English engraver and mezzotinter.
Title (as is in the descriptive catalog): [[Vol.II]. No. 167. A Landscape, with Buildings, with the Story of Cupid and Psyche. (1777 ed.). No. 167. Cupid and Psyche (or Clyta;). This beautiful Landscape was doubtless intended to portray the abode of bliss, the young God with his beloved Psyche are enjoying the cooling freshness of a pellucid stream in the foreground of the picture. (1819 ed.).
