Artist: Claude Lorrain (c. 1600 - 1682) was a famous French painter, who lived and worked in Italy.
Engraver: Richard Earlom (1743 – 1822) was an English mezzotinter.
Title (as is in the descriptive catalog): [Vol.II]. No. 169 A Landscape, with the Meeting of Jacob and Rachel at the Well (1777 ed.). No. 169. Jacob and Rachel at the Well. The View represents a fine open Country with Wells in the foreground, near which is introduced the above story. A flock of sheep is by them. Called the Noon of the Day. (1819 ed.).
