Artist: Claude Lorrain (c. 1600 - 1682) was a famous French painter, who lived and worked in Italy.

Title (as is in the descriptive catalog): [Vol.II]. No.185.  A View close to the Sea; a Vessel filled with Warriors approaching the Shore. The landing of Aeneas in Italy. (1777 ed.). No.185. The Landing of Aeneas in Italy. Two Vessels are seen on a broad River, and the Trojan Hero standing at the head of one of the ships appears to be addressing a body of soldiers who are at the foot of a cluster of trees. (1819 ed.).
