Artist: Francucci Innocenzo Detto Innocenzo Da Imola (Italy, 1490 ca./ 1545 ca).
Intermediary draughtsman:  Francesco Rosaspina (Italy, 1762 - 1841), a fundamental figure in the constitution of the Pontifical Academy, began in 1818 to engrave the paintings of the art gallery on copper. The work ended in 1829 with a volume consisting of 72 prints.  (see Pinacoteca Nazionale Bologna, 1967, p. 28) The artist has refined technique:  his engravings show those effects of soft modeling and chiaroscuro usually achieved by painting.
Engraver:  Antonio Marchi, Italy. Work period 1833 – 1853.

ConditionThe print is taken from a discarded book, as evidenced by bumps and small holes along the left edge. Wear to edges, foxing, and soiling. The signs of aging are appropriate for the time. A detailed condition report is available on demand.
