Artist: Ernest Stephen Lumsden, (British, 1883 - 1948) was a distinguished painter, noted etcher, and authority on etching. He traveled several times to India between 1912 and 1927 and is noted for his prints of Benares on the River Ganges.

Condition: The etching had one side cut along the plate mark, which was later repaired, and the remnants of tape. The signs of aging are appropriate for the time. A detailed condition report is available on demand.
