Artist: Stradanus, Johannes Stradanus, Jan van der Straet or Giovanni Stradano (1523 - 1605) was a Flemish artist active mainly in 16th-century Florence, Italy.
Engraver: Hendrick Goltzius (1558–1617), was a German-born Dutch printmaker, draftsman, and painter. He was the leading Dutch engraver of the early Baroque period, or Northern Mannerism.

Inscription on the mat in graphite: "Engraved by Collaert ?"
