Artist: John Thomas Smith, also known as Antiquity Smith (England, 1766–1833), was an English painter, engraver, and antiquarian.
Title: Two Landscapes. Two etchings mounted on one backing paper. 1. Tree on the bend of the river. 2. One of the Twenty Rural Landscapes, from Nature, Drawn and Etched by J.T.Smith (London, 1793).

Publisher: John McCreery, English publisher and printer (1768-1832).
Edition: A Collection of Original Etchings. The original copper plates were believed to have been destroyed after this publication.
Date: 1816 (published).
Materials and Techniques: two etchings on wove paper, corners adhered to a single sheet of cream wove paper. Mounted on the same paper as other McCreery prints and presumably taken from the same volume because of the same three sides’ gilded edge and matching size. Printed without margins.
Mat and Frame: backing sheet.
Provenance:  The Estate of George "Yorgo" Demetrakopoulos; professor, assistant director of the Medieval Institute, and assistant to the dean at Western Michigan University, Kalamazoo, Michigan, from 1965-2000.
Condition: The signs of aging are appropriate for the time. A detailed condition report is available on demand.
