Title: Two Abstract Head Studies and One Nude Figure Study.
Inscriptions: the nude figure study features the artist's hand-carved block monogram "HC" l.r. The verso of all three sheets features uniform archival pencil attributions reading "Harold Cohn". One sheet features an additional original working graphite sketch by the artist verso.
Dimensions: the biggest 12" x 6".
Materials and Techniques Relief block printing (woodcut or linocut) using oil-based ink on varied papers.
Provenance: The Estate of George "Yorgo" Demetrakopoulos; professor, assistant director of the Medieval Institute, and assistant to the dean at Western Michigan University, Kalamazoo, Michigan, from 1965 to 2000.
Condition: The signs of aging are appropriate for the time. The sheets retain full untrimmed margins with natural deckled edges. Minor age toning, light surface soiling, and characteristic oil-ink bleed-through are present. One sheet has a small edge tear with minor corner loss; another retains remnants of old cellophane tape verso with associated oxidation staining. A detailed condition report is available on demand.
