
Artist: Philipp Jakob Hackert (Germany, 1737 – 1807) was a landscape painter who did most of his work in Italy. He was internationally renowned and even worked for Catherine the Great on a cycle of paintings about the Battle of Chesma.

Condition: Mounted. The lower left corner is lost. Multiple tears to margins, abrasions, foxing. Remnants of glue verso. The signs of aging are appropriate for the time. A detailed condition report is available on demand.
