Artist: Georg Friedrich Schmidt (German, 1712-1775), engraver. Trained in Paris returned to Berlin as principal engraver to the King of Prussia. Between 1757-62 presented in St Petersburg, to engrave a portrait of Empress Catherine and to set up an engraving school.
