Artist: Herman Saftleven (Dutch, 1609-1685), after. Painter, etcher, and publisher. 
Engraver:  Conraad Waumans (Flemish, 1619-after 1675 ). Engraver and draughtsman. Between 1633-34 pupil of Paulus Pontius. In 1636 or 1637 he became a member of the guild of St. Luke in Antwerp.

Dimensions: Image/plate 6 1/2" x 4 1/2". Sheet 9 3/4" x 6 3/8".
Publisher: Jan Meyssens (Flemish, 1613-1670) painter, engraver, and publisher. He published work by Wenceslaus Hollar and prints after portraits of artists, 'Diverse Hommes d'Esprit sublime', in the manner of van Dyck's Iconography.
Edition: The prints were known to be published in six different editions. ...  Third in "The True Effigies of the Most Eminent Painters and other Famous Artists that have flourished in Europe curiously engraved on 125 copper plates" (1694; re-published in 1705). The prints are often found with manuscript pen and ink numbering. These impressions are here catalogued as belonging to the third edition.
