Illustrated with etched plates by Leopold Flameng, Emile Boilvin, and Edmond Hedonin. Each plate in TWO STATES with different remarques, all with printed tissue guards.
Stamped-signed on the decorative dentelles of the first volume by BENNETT N Y.  Whitman Bennett was a famed bookbinder, book dealer, movie director, and movie producer.
Full green morocco, gilt titles, raised bands, gilt top edge, others untrimmed, leather dentelles, and marbled endpapers.
Ex-libris Adrian G. Newcomb by monogrammist RS inside front cover.
Spines sunned (Leather along spines and edges has mellowed from green to brown). Otherwise fine, with minor edge wear.
