Note:
This woodcut was printed in a 1548 Bible edition by Jasper von Gennep and Alexander Blankaert. However, the letterpress verso does not match the woodcut displayed. Despite the attribution on the mat's back, there is no confirmation of Virgil Solis being the author. Moreover, there are differences between this woodcut and Solis's "Salomon auf dem Throne", featured in Eduard Ubisch's "Virgil Solis und seine biblischen Illustrationen für den Holzschnitt" No. 93, from "Die Züricher Bibel" of 1531, the sole known "The Throne of Solomon" by V. Solis.
